Originally from Cleveland and now based in New York City, Hill has built an international reputation as one of alternative comedy's most distinctive voices. Described by The Atlantic as "one of the funniest people alive", his genre-defying live performances fuse comedy, rock music and absurdist storytelling into a show unlike anything else on the road today.
Beyond the stage, Hill has appeared in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Girls5eva, Inside Amy Schumer, Joe Pera Talks With You, After Midnight, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and numerous other television productions. He is also a regular contributor to This American Life and Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History podcast, where he serves as the resident heavy metal expert.
A lifelong musician, Hill fronts the rock band Valley Lodge, whose track 'Go' has become instantly recognisable as the long-running theme song for HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He has also shared stages with the likes of Tenacious D, Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers, Broken Social Scene, Snoop Dogg, Quicksand and more, while continuing to release music, write books and perform sold-out shows around the world.
